When its comes to buying a photo printer a lot of people opt for a compact specialised photo printer that can only print up to 6”x 4” prints from brand such as Canon, Epson, Kodak. While these printers are very good and offer value for money prints they lack versatility and don’t offer anything that a A4 photo printer can offer. A4 photo printers are a much better buy as they offer the same quality prints as the compact photo printers and are also able to function as a standard office printer as well. In addition to this, they offer a wider choice of print sizes; they’re able to print from 6”x 4” to A4 and everything in between. A mid range A4 photo printer will cost around the same price as a compact photo printer however don’t be sucked into the trap that most people fall into. The true cost of an inkjet printer can be found in the cost of the replacement printer ink cartridges and not on the price tag of the printer itself. The way printers are sold these days is a bit like mobile phones where you get the phone free, but it’s not free because it comes with a tariff contract and you end up paying for the phone through that. Printer are very similar your buy the printer cheap and then pay through the ink cartridges. This is why it is important to check the price of the replacement ink cartridges before purchasing a printer. Epson offer good A4 photo printers that produce stunning photo prints but Epson ink cartridges can be quite expensive. There are compatible inks avaible for Epson printers including photo printers like the Stylus R285. A set of compatible inks for an Epson Stylus R285 cost half of what a set of genuine inks do and the cartridges contain the same amount of ink.

A Perfect Father’s Day Gift

Internet is not just a part of my job; I consider it as a part of my life as well just like my morning ablution. I couldn’t imagine a day without checking my emails, my social networks, the latest, news, Hollywood gossips and a lot more of the wired information. This afternoon while checking on mobile phone deals because I’m planning to buy a new phone for my dad for Father’s Day, I found out that Nokia has new prototype phones that recharges without wires. It may not be enough to keep the phone alive during an active call, but would be enough to slowly recharge the cell phone battery while it’s in standby mode. Isn’t it amazing? However, Nokia says it hopes to commercialize the technology in three to five years. Back to my quest for my daddy’s phone, I’m considering to buy either a Nokia 5730 or Sony Ericsson C903. Nokia 5730 is an Xpress Music phone that allows its user to play music, share media and even chat. On the other hand, Sony Ericsson C903 Cyber Shot offers more, like auto rotating screen, a TV-out function, GPS, Google maps or Way finder Navigator so you won’t lose track. I’m kind of finicky and I guess I have to weigh more on which phone to buy.

I was chatting with my friend online; she’s in a dilemma on what mobile phone to buy. Since she considered me as a tech savvy, she needed my advice on her phone preference. She was thinking of a Sony Ericsson W995, Walkman phone and Cyber Shot at the same time that has an 8 megapixel auto shooter, a great music feature, an improved interface and management software and it has a surprisingly GPS features or a Samsung Tocco Lite,.The latter has a 3.2 megapixel camera with smile detection and video recording, a music player with FM radio, a TouchWiz interface and also an auto rotate screen that allows handwriting recognition technology for easy messaging just like the Nokia 5800. The more specifications I gave her, the more confused she got so I decided that I would just go with her to see the phones herself. Then, last night she buzzed me again and asked me about the new Nokia 5530. Since I didn’t have an idea about it, I decided to google and it really amazed me. The phone has a 2.9 inch touchscreen, 3.2 megapixel camera, 3.5mm headphone jack, FM/RDS Radio, WiFi, approximately 150Mb of internal memory and support for microSD. I couldn’t blame my friend for changing her mind, this is truly a one of a heck cellular phone but she has to wait for its release in the market.

Russian Fighter Jets for Rent

The Mikoyan MiG-29 is a 4th generation jet fighter aircraft designed in the Soviet Union for an air superiority role. Developed in the 1970s by the Mikoyan design bureau, it entered service with the Soviet Air Force in 1983, and remains in use by the Russian Air Force as well as in many other nations. NATO’s reporting name for the MiG-29 is “Fulcrum”, which was unofficially used by Soviet pilots in service. It was originally developed to counter new American fighters such as the F-16 Fighting Falcon, and the F/A-18 Hornet. I have seen the mig 29 online and it was said that Russia is now using the jets that they have to attract tourists by letting them see the aircrafts first hand and even giving them the chance to jet pilot the said planes. The Russian Federation has started to try removing any doubts from the other countries by making sure that they provide great adventure tours to all tourists and letting them know that the country is not that bad as they were portrayed by the world some decades ago. They let the Mikoyan MiG-29 to be used so people will understand how serious they are in removing all stereotypes and helping their economy as well.

Shopping for ink online

The worst thing about shopping for replacement ink cartridges is the difficulty in finding those that are suitable for your printer. Shopping for ink from a specialist online retailer like cfbsupplies.co.uk solves this problem and takes away all the hassle. All you need to do is select your printer model and the site will filter the products and display only the ones that are suitable for your printer. This makes finding the correct ink cartridges quicker and also means that you won’t buy the wrong ones. Prices tend to be cheaper online and most offer inkjet cartridges with free delivery. A good quality set of compatible ink for Epson SX405 can be found at 50% less than you would pay for Epson inks. The quality of these compatible inks is excellent and when you consider the difference in price the small differences in colour tone become insignificant.

News On Social Networking Sites

“User photographs can still be found on many social networking sites even after people have deleted them, Cambridge University researchers have said.”

The above was the first thing that I saw when I checked out the latest tech news around the globe. It was said that Facebook and some other social networking sites have been doing this for unknown reasons. The researchers of Cambridge University made an experiment of uploading some pictures, saving the direct URL for each pictures, erased every single one of them, then tried the URLs after thirty days, and much to their surprise, the supposed deleted photos can still be accessed, proving that their theory that social networking web sites really do keep deleted pictures without the owners’ consent, while they are given the impression that the photos were already removed. It should also be noted that Facebook had some issues in the past where the social networking web site stated in their rules that they own every single detail that users input to their system. In my view, I think these social networking web sites should do their jobs properly and not take advantage of the people that use their sites. The mere fact that people use their services already makes them money. So why even steal people’s private details?

HDTV Misapprehension

HDTV was first introduced to the public in 1998. When the first high definition television (HDTV) sets hit the market in 1998, people, specifically the movie addicts, sports fanatics and tech enthusiasts got really excited. The ads that came out about the said new technology hinted television supremacy and heavenly satisfaction because of the resolution and digital surround sound. With HDTV, you could also play movies in their original widescreen format without the letterbox black bars that some people find bothersome. While these are true, many people are still trying to figure out how this technology works, even after ten years. All that those people see are confusing abbreviations and too many choices. Some have even hooked up their new HDTV sets only to discover that the picture doesn’t look good. The most common misunderstanding that people think about HDTV is that the moment they have this kind of television, they are already expecting that everything will look great and if it doesn’t, they will either blame the TV manufacturer for giving them a broken unit, cable and satellite providers for giving them bad signals, or basically blame everyone in sight. What they fail to realize is that certain compatibilities have to be met first before they get the high def TV that they have been looking for… bottom-line, the channels have to carry HD capabilities first before you see HD programming.

Starting your own website is something that is getting really common nowadays with all of us getting more and more in touch with the cyber world. People have done this for various reasons and it was actually made easy already because a lot of service providers have come up with a lot of specific tools for whatever kind of web site you wish to create. The most common thing right now is blogging. People have learned to realize that talking about something inside their minds would be more highly effective if they send it out through the internet. They speak their mind about things that bother them, stuff that they care about, information that they know can help other people, or just plain venting out emotions. People could also earn money as well with blogging by making use of ads and using links to other web sites. Some business web sites also do this to add some more income to their companies and to form possible partnerships as well. The world of internet has really become a phenomenon that a lot of people consider a necessity. For others, it is already a way of life that they cannot do without…

Phone Hunting

I just had my phone broken and I am currently looking for the latest Blackberry phones/pda that I can take a hold of in replacement for my old one. So far, I have seen the BlackBerry 9500 Storm, which they say is the most stylish BlackBerry smartphone to date, as well as being RIM BlackBerry’s first handset to feature touch screen technology. It was also said that it offers a crystal-clear, high resolution 480×320 pixel touch screen display, with auto-screen rotation. Another unit that I saw was the BlackBerry Bold 9000, which has a built-in mobile streaming, that can give access to online videos and a 2Mb camera and music player to add some enjoyment to this highly exceptional BlackBerry business handset. There is also the BlackBerry 8800 smartphone, which has all the features of a Blackberry phone, plus instant messaging. I could really decide yet which smatphone should I be choosing because they all looked really good. I guess what is needed to be done right now is to go directly to the shops and check those out for myself before really deciding which phone do I buy. I want to make sure that I’ll be buying something that I really need, and not just because I thought I need it.

All about Games

Game consoles have been around us for a very long time now. It all started with the very basic Atari game, to more detailed and graphically enhanced consoles that we have today such as Sony’s Playstation 3, Microsoft’s X box 360 and the Nintendo WII system. There are even handheld consoles now like Gameboy Advance, Playstation Portable and Nintendo DS where as before, we could only enjoy handheld games from brick games and other 2D, black and white games.

game consoles

The evolution of game consoles have been really amazing because the creators were able to come up with games that would make your mind twist and turn, or even get the player’s attention by making feel everything that the characters in the games were programmed to have. Perfect examples here are the ever so popular Resident Evil franchise, Metal Gear, Silent Hill and Final Fantasy. With all of the advancements that the game creators are able to do, I strongly believe that we would still get something even better in the future than what we already have. I’m not saying the ones we have are not good, because they are… but with the way game planners do their thing, I am pretty sure that the best is definitely yet to come.
